Sports Marketing .ie brought you news about Setanta before many other sites. However rumours are circulating in the sports broadcasting circles that one of the two outcomes below will come to light:
Either
1. Setanta have gotten investors in this time of need, with the deadline getting nearer and nearer before they enter administration they might just survive.
Or:
2. ESPN are going to buy up the rights that Setanta cannot afford to pay off. Buying these profitable rights will give ESPN, run by Disney the chance to challenge Sky in the sports broadcasting world.
It would be great to see Setanta survive but either way the potential of the sports marketing industry, in particular television rights can be seen through all this interest from Disney, Setanta and Sky.
