SUPERBOWL ADS GOING FOR $3M
CBS has sold about 90 per cent of ad spots for the Super Bowl even though the game is still two months away SPORTSMARKETING.IE has learned through our U.S sources.

Prices for a 30-second spot are close to $3m, CBS Corp chairman Les Moonves has revealed.

“We are still almost two months away and we only have five or six spots to sell,” he said. “That’s considerably better than we were three years ago when we had the last Super Bowl and considerably better, I think, than where NBC was at this time last year.”

Moonves added that Budweiser and Bud Light, owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev, are the top advertisers again, but that “a couple of new guys” are considering buying spots for the event, which draws about 95 million viewers in the US.

This season’s game will be played in Miami on February 7.
